A massive fire broke out at a private hospital in southern India’s Andhra Pradesh, leading to frantic evacuations of patients and staff.

The incident took place at Srikari Vijai Babu Private Hospital, located above More Supermarket in Srinivas Nagar, Nandyla district, on November 6.

Visuals showed emergency services in full swing, with patients being rushed to safety amidst thick smoke and chaos. Firefighters quickly arrived on the scene and managed to bring the fire under control with two fire trucks. Local authorities ensured the smooth evacuation process, preventing further complications. The entire upper part of the hospital was destroyed by the blaze, while valuable medical equipment inside was also lost.

According to reports, the fire started at 8 AM, believed to have been caused by a short circuit. Due to the hospital’s location on the main road, police diverted traffic to prevent disruptions. The damage to the hospital has been estimated at approximately one crore rupees. Authorities have registered a case, and investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.
