Fire engulfs 10-storey apartment in northern India’s Delhi, no casualties reported
In a distressing incident in northern India’s Delhi, a fire broke out in a 10-storey apartment, causing significant damage to property.
The incident took place in the Vikaspuri area of West Delhi district on August 31.
Visuals showed flames fuming out of the building, forming thick black smoke that engulfed the area. The sight created a sense of fear and distress among the locals and residents nearby.
According to reports, no one was injured in the incident, but household items were gutted. The Delhi Fire Services (DFS) received a call about the fire at 8:10 am, and four fire tenders were dispatched to the scene. The fire engines took an hour to bring the blaze under control. The fire is suspected to have been caused by a short circuit in the flat. Further investigations are underway, officials said.
