Fire breaks out during PM Modi’s oath ceremony celebrations in central India, causes panic
Amidst nationwide celebrations of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s third term swearing-in, a major fire broke out at the BJP office in central India’s Madhya Pradesh.
The incident took place at Indore on June 9.
Visuals showed a fierce fire was raging on one floor of a house. While BJP workers were joyously celebrating with fireworks, sweets, and music, the fire broke out, likely due to the ongoing firework display. The fourth floor, where the fire started, housed flags, banners, posters, and other promotional materials, all of which were consumed by the flames.
Upon receiving the fire alert, the fire brigade arrived promptly and managed to control the blaze after a strenuous effort, using approximately eight water tankers. Fortunately, the fire did not spread to the lower floors, and no significant damage occurred beyond the loss of materials stored on the top floor.
There were no injuries reported as all the attendees were celebrating on the lower levels of the building.
