Fire breaks out at mystery rooms arcade in northern India; one person trapped inside
A fire erupted at Mystery Rooms in northern India’s Delhi trapping one individual inside. The Delhi Fire Services (DFS) promptly dispatched five fire tenders to the scene.
The incident took place in Block M of Connaught Place in Delhi on June 9.
Visuals showed a fierce fire raging on the first floor of a white building. The fire tender team was present, actively working to extinguish the flames. A large crowd of onlookers had gathered around, watching the scene unfold with concern.
DFS Chief Atul Garg confirmed that no injuries have been reported so far. “The fire is under control,” Garg stated while noting that rescue operations for the person trapped inside are ongoing. The cause of the fire remains undetermined at this time.
The incident has raised concerns about safety protocols in entertainment venues within the bustling Connaught Place area. Eyewitnesses reported seeing thick smoke billowing from the arcade, prompting an immediate emergency response.
