Fire breaks out at government school in northern India, no casualties reported
A fire broke out at the Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya , a government school in northern India’s Delhi.
This incident took place in Nihal Vihar on April 24.
Visuals showed the flames wreaking havoc inside the school premises. The intensity of the fire could be gauged from the amount of smoke which came out from the area. There were people around in the area as the fire broke out and were seemingly looking for ways to tackle the blaze. According to a report, three fire tenders of the Delhi Fire Service (DFS) rushed to the spot to douse the flames and were successful in their operation which lasted for about half-an-hour.
The fire broke out in the store room and the classes were evacuated as a precautionary measure. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in this accident although some books and furniture kept in the store room were left completely gutted.
