A massive fire broke out at the offerings counter of a temple, prompting authorities to swiftly evacuate devotees to safety.

The incident Lord Venkateswara Temple in Tirupati district of Andhra Pradesh, southern India on January 13.

Visuals from the scene show the entire hall engulfed in smoke, with devotees hurriedly leaving the area, escorted by temple police personnel.

According to reports, the fire was triggered by a short circuit in the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system connected to the computer setup. Notably, the incident occurred during the ongoing 10-day Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam, a major religious event at the temple.
