Fatal collision on major highway in northern India claims two lives

A tragic collision on a National Highway in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh resulted in the deaths of two men after their high-speed car crashed into a stationary hydraulic vehicle.

 

The incident took place on Lucknow-Sitapur National Highway, near Madiyaon Police Station, Lucknow on September 16.

Visuals showed in the dark of night, a high-speed Honda City car crashed into a crane parked by the roadside. The impact was so forceful that the car was extensively damaged, with its parts scattered and debris strewn across the area. The collision left the car severely mangled, illustrating the violent nature of the crash.

 

In a heartbreaking incident late last night, a high-speed Honda City lost control and crashed into a stationary hydraulic vehicle on the Lucknow-Sitapur National Highway. The accident occurred under the jurisdiction of the Madiyaon Police Station, resulting in the immediate deaths of the two car occupants.

 

The victims, identified as Naveen, 27, and Saurav, 28, both residents of Auraiya district, were traveling from Lucknow to Sitapur when the crash happened. The collision was so severe that the impact led to the death of both men on the spot. Firefighters arrived promptly and had to cut through the wreckage to retrieve the bodies, which were later sent to the trauma center for post-mortem examination.

 

Chief Fire Officer Mangesh Kumar detailed that the Bakshi Talab Fire Station team, upon receiving the emergency call, rushed to the scene. They discovered the Honda City, registered as UP 32 PH 8366, had crashed into the rear of the hydraulic vehicle. Despite their efforts, both victims could not be revived. The Madiyaon Police also attended the scene and have launched an investigation into the accident.

 

ADCP North Jitendra Dubey confirmed the details of the crash and stated that the authorities are actively investigating the cause of the accident. The families of the deceased have been notified.
