Fatal blasts rock fireball factory in northern India, several injured

Two individuals lost their lives and several others sustained injuries in a series of explosions at a fireball manufacturing facility in northern India’s Haryana.

The incident took place at Daultabad  Industrial area in Gurugram District on June 21.

Visuals showed during night, a fierce fire engulfed a factory where several fire trucks were present. In a subsequent video clip the following morning, scenes revealed extensive destruction to the building. Broken glass from shattered windows lay scattered on the ground, and several individuals were seen surveying the wreckage.

According to reports late on Friday night, multiple blasts shook as explosions ripped through a fireball manufacturing factory. Fire tenders swiftly mobilized to the scene to tackle the raging flames and attend to the casualties. Around 24 fire engines were deployed in a frantic effort to extinguish the fire and prevent further escalation.

According to Fire Officer Ramesh Kumar, who led the operation, the blasts inflicted substantial damage not only to the factory but also to neighboring structures. “Upon receiving the distress call, we encountered ongoing explosions upon arrival,” stated Kumar. “Efforts were intensified with additional resources from nearby stations as the situation remained volatile.”

The factory specialized in the production of fireballs, akin to fire extinguishers, posing heightened risks during the inferno. Nearby buildings suffered considerable structural damage as a result of the blasts. Initial reports indicated two fatalities and between three to four individuals injured, who were promptly evacuated to hospitals for medical treatment prior to the fire service’s arrival.
