Fatal accident occurs in northern India as minibus collides with speeding car
In a heart-wrenching incident in northern India’s Jammu and Kashmir, a young man lost his life after being struck by a speeding car, with the driver fleeing the scene.
The incident took place at Kunjwani bypass in Jammu district on August 31.
Visuals captured the aftermath, showing a minibus that had apparently lost control and overturned after colliding with the car. The collision was severe, prompting a swift response from locals who rushed to the site to provide assistance.

According to reports, the accident occurred near the Bata Showroom at Kunjwani, claiming the life of 18-year-old student Surbhi Kumari. The tragic incident also left eight other passengers injured, including six girls. The injured victims are Saina, a 16-year-old resident of Kunjwani and daughter of Mohd Rafiq; Goutam Sharma, a 25-year-old resident of Chatha and son of the late Manoj Kumar; and Akesh Mohan, a 39-year-old resident of Afgana Mohalla Panjtrithi and son of the late Tilak Raj Mohan.

Among the other injured are Muskan Sharma, 16, from Ratnu Chak, Jammu, and daughter of Rohi Dass; Sarita, 16, from Dhyansar Bari Brahmana and daughter of Upinder Ram; Nisha, 16, originally from Jharkhand and now residing in Dhyansar Bari Brahmana, daughter of Durga Swansi; Sumit Kumar, 16, from Doda and now residing in Bari Brahmana, son of Mulkh Raj; and Shivani, 14, from Kunjwani, daughter of Raj Kumar. Both vehicles involved in the crash suffered extensive damage, and the injured were rushed to the hospital, where two of them are reported to be in serious condition.
