A group of extremists looted a house and set it on fire, leaving the residents in deep distress and panic.

The incident took place in the Paikgacha area of Khulna district and the video went viral on December 26.

Visuals show the house consumed by fierce flames, with people standing at a distance, watching the horror in distress.

According to reports, the house that was burnt belonged to an individual named Udam Das. The extremists also looted 466.4 grams of gold jewelry and cash from the resident.

Bangladesh has seen widespread violence, including attacks on minority Hindus, since the change of government earlier this year, following major protests that raised international concerns over the safety and rights of minorities.
