Visuals showed the Excise police team was seen disposing of the illegal drinks into a nearby drain, pouring the confiscated jaggery drink and gudumba down the drain as a visual testament to their commitment to eradicating illicit alcohol production.
According to reports in a decisive crackdown on illicit alcohol production, Excise police launched a raid on Gudumba settlements nestled within the Kankunur and Reddipalli forest areas of Bhupalpally district. The operation, conducted on Thursday, targeted a significant gudumba manufacturing hub concealed within the forest’s depths.
During the raid, authorities uncovered and subsequently destroyed a staggering 2,400 liters of clandestinely brewed jaggery drink. Additionally, they seized 25 liters of gudumba, reinforcing their commitment to curbing the production and distribution of illegal alcohol in the region.
District Excise Superintendent, Srinivas, confirmed the successful operation, revealing that a case has been registered against three individuals allegedly involved in the illegal manufacturing enterprise. Furthermore, the authorities seized 50 kilograms of sugar and 50 kilograms of Jaggery, further dismantling the infrastructure supporting illicit alcohol production.
The raid underscores the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat the proliferation of illegal alcohol, safeguarding public health and safety across Bhupalpally district.
