Engine failure sparks boat search in southern India, workers flee
In a recent incident from southern India’s Kerala, the engine stopped working and the boat was searched.
The incident took place on the west coast of Punnapra of Alappuzha district and the video went viral on July 6.
Visuals showed the boat tumbling in the wild waves as the people on board struggled to save themselves from the chaos. Amidst the turmoil, they tried to help each other, hoping to avoid any tragic mishaps.
According to officials, after the sea calmed down, a long net boat named Ian of Thangachan, which was ashore in the first ward of Poontarasser, encountered an accident at sea.

According to reports, after pushing the boat from the shore with the help of others, the crew attempted to start the engine, but it failed. During the commotion, two people fell into the water but managed to swim back to the boat, narrowly avoiding disaster. After rowing for a while, the crew successfully restarted the engine.
