Elephants roam through northern India’s town as locals scramble to safety

In a startling scene unfolding in northern India’s Uttarakhand, two elephants wandered into the city, stirring panic among locals as they headed towards the town center.

The incident took place in Kotdwar city in Pauri Garhwal district on November 2.

Visuals showed the elephants casually wandering through the deserted area.

According to reports, the two elephants approached the city near the Abhiyan Hotel, triggering panic among locals as they advanced towards the town. Nearby residents quickly alerted the Forest Department, and upon receiving the notification, a team from the department arrived at the scene without delay. After significant effort, the elephants were successfully guided back into the forest.
