Elephant chase locals at tea estate in northeastern India

An elephant was seen chasing locals in a tea estate in northeastern India’s Assam.

The incident took place in the Dholaguri Tea estate, Golaghat district on November 27.

Visuals showed the pachyderm running behind the villagers when it was straying in an open field.

The locals were seen scaring the big mammal with a stick.

After running for a while, the big mammal stopped chasing the people and retraced its path.
