Electrocuted monkey receives immediate treatment from animal protectors in central India
In a dramatic incident in central India, animal protectors rushed to aid an injured monkey electrocuted by a street pole.
The incident took place in the Shahdol district on October 25.
Visuals showed the monkey lying on the ground after being badly electrocuted by the pole. The animal rescuers approached quickly, providing immediate first aid that helped bring the monkey back to consciousness.
Speaking to Newslions, Mr. Gaurav Rahli Mishra from Atal Kamdhenu Gausewa Sansthan stated that he led the rescue operation, which lasted from 11:51 a.m. The monkey was initially treated for its injuries by caretakers Rishabh Barman, Avneesh Dubey, and Kartik Tiwari before being transferred to the institute for further care. With the assistance of caretakers Rupesh Mishra, Amar Soni, Atul Tiwari, Farid Khan, and Deputy Forest Ranger Mathura Singh, the injured monkey, electrocuted in Gharaula Mohalla, was safely transported to the institute for continued rehabilitation.
