Elderly woman along with senior citizen brutally assaulted for gathering wood in northern India

The incident took place in Shankar Purwa under Laloli area in Fatehpur district on June 14.
Visuals showed the group, consisting of more than half a dozen people, beating the woman severely, pulling out her hair and repeatedly slamming her onto the ground in the middle of the street. The attackers even attempted to strip her naked in a bid to further disgrace her.
A disturbing incident of mob violence has emerged from Shankar Purwa in the Laloli police jurisdiction, where an elderly woman and a senior citizen were viciously attacked by a group of locals for allegedly collecting wood from a tree. The assault was not only physical but also deeply humiliating.
