In northern India’s Uttar Pradesh, an elderly dairy owner has caused widespread outrage after he was seen brutally beating a stray dog with a stick.

The incident took place in Moradabad district and the video went viral on September 1.

Visuals showed the man mercilessly striking the defenseless dog multiple times as it yelps in pain.
