Eight killed in devastating bus fire on northern India’s expressway
Tragedy struck an expressway when a bus filled with devotees caught fire, resulting in the deaths of eight people in northern India’s Haryana.
The incident occurred on Kundli Manesar Palwalthe expressway in Nuh district on May 18.

The bus was carrying passengers returning from a religious pilgrimage when it unexpectedly caught fire, causing chaos and panic among those on board. Emergency services responded quickly, but the fire spread rapidly, making rescue efforts challenging.
In addition to the eight fatalities, more than 24 people were injured, many suffering from severe burns and smoke inhalation. The injured were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment, with several reported to be in critical condition.
Local authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire, with preliminary reports suggesting a possible mechanical failure. The tragedy has cast a shadow over the community, as families mourn the loss of loved ones and pray for the recovery of those injured.
