Education minister’s pilot vehicle hits ambulance, three injured in southern India
The pilot vehicle of V Sivankutty, the Education Minister in southern India’s Kerala, knocked down an ambulance in an accident that injured three people.
This happened in Pulaman Junction at Kottarakkara in Kollam district on July 12.
CCTV footage captured the chilling moment when the pilot vehicle hit the ambulance, causing the latter to overturn. The ambulance was passing when the Education Minister’s pilot vehicle struck it from the side, leading it to tumble and flip over at a distance. Traffic cops rushed to the ambulance after this accident happened. The driver of the pilot vehicle also came out and ran towards the ambulance as a crowd gradually gathered at the spot. The vehicle also almost hit a two-wheeler after knocking down the ambulance but applied brakes at the right time.
According to a report, the patient inside the ambulance and two others sustained minor injuries in this accident. It was also learnt that the Education Minister came out of his car and checked on the victims after this accident.
