A tragic incident unfolded in southern India’s Karnataka, where a man lost his life after being challenged by his intoxicated friends to jump into a pond.

The incident took place in Kamalapur area of Bellary district and the video went viral on May 23.

Visuals showed four friends, including a young man named Sajid, jumping into the river for a bath. Encouraged by his inebriated companions, Sajid leaped into the water but began to struggle and drown soon after.

Despite efforts from two of his friends to rescue him, they were unsuccessful. Shockingly, instead of aiding Sajid, they opted to film the ordeal. Tragically, Sajid perished in the water according to reports.
