Driver knocks traffic official onto bonnet, continues over 100 meters in southern India
In a dramatic incident in southern India’s Karnataka, a traffic official was knocked over and landed on a car’s bonnet when the driver refused to stop during a routine vehicle check.
The incident took place near Sahyadri College in Shivamogga district on October 24.
Visuals showed the traffic official clinging to the car’s bonnet after being knocked over, as the driver continued driving for over 100 meters without stopping. The official was conducting a routine vehicle check when the driver refused to cooperate, leading to the tense situation. The official, visibly shaken, was seen holding on for safety until the car finally came to a halt.
According to reports, the driver has been identified as Mithun Jagadale, a cable operator in Bhadravati. A case has been registered against him, and Shivamogga’s Superintendent of Police has confirmed an ongoing investigation.
