Dramatic crash! Wood-laden lorry crashes into backyard, sparks panic in neighborhood
by ShravyaA lorry loaded with wood logs dramatically smashed into a house’s backyard in broad daylight, sending shockwaves through the local community.
The accident took place at Pallimukku, Kathaigal area of Kollam district, Kerala in southern India on December 2.
Visuals show the lorry smashing through the wall and crashing into the backyard of the house. Workers, who were sitting on wooden logs loaded onto the lorry, immediately jumped off in shock and distress after the impact.
Speaking to Newslions, Shiju S.S, Sub Inspector at Kadakkal Police Station, explained that the accident occurred while loading wood onto the vehicle on a downhill road. The block placed under the tyres to prevent the vehicle from rolling slipped, causing the vehicle to lose control and crash into the wall.
At the time of the accident, three workers were on top of the vehicle but thankfully only sustained minor injuries. The pickup lorry veered off the road, which was typically busy with traffic, and crashed into the wall. Fortunately, no other vehicles were on the road, and no one was outside the house, preventing a major incident. There have been no reports of serious injuries, and no complaints have been filed regarding the accident.
