Dramatic arrest! Armed criminals nabbed after violent robbery spree in northern India
In a tense operation in northern India’s Delhi, police successfully arrested two armed criminals involved in a string of violent robberies across the city.
The incident took place in the Tilak Nagar area of West Delhi district on September 26.
Visuals showed one of the attacks where the suspects approached their victim on a motorcycle, brandishing a large knife. They threatened the woman, stole her gold chain and earrings, and left her injured as she screamed for help while they sped away on their bike.
According to reports, the duo, identified as Vikas and Ramesh, were involved in robbing two women at knifepoint in Tilak Nagar and Khayala on September 21. Following police intelligence on their plans for another robbery in Khayala, officers laid a trap on September 26. Around 8 AM, the Special Staff team spotted the suspects in the Punjabi Bagh area. When the police signaled them to stop, the men opened fire, prompting the police to shoot back in self-defense, injuring both criminals.
Initial investigations revealed that Vikas and Ramesh had several criminal cases filed against them. Both are currently hospitalized and investigations are underway to determine their involvement in further crimes.
