Dog’s head freed from milk can after thirty-minute rescue operation
A dog whose head got stuck in a milk can has been successfully rescued by the fire rescue team.
This incident took place in Athiyanur village, in Tiruvannamalai district in southern India’s Tamil Nadu, on January 17.
Visuals show a dog with its head stuck inside a Milk churn. The fire rescue team is seen trying to safely remove the dog’s head from the milk can by cutting the can with an iron cutter. A man is seen holding the dog during the process. The dog was finally rescued after they cut the neck of the milk can. The dog can be seen healthy and happy after the rescue.
Speaking to Newslions, Prabakaran M, Special Station Officer, mentioned that it was a pet dog of a resident and named as Blacky. They reached the spot after a neighbour informed the fire department. The rescue operation was carried out by a team of six led by Prabakaran along with Shankar, Sivabalan, Shivashankar, Arunkumar and Ranjith. After thirty minutes of struggle, Blacky was successfully rescued.
