Dog rescued after getting stuck in gate at church in southern India
In southern India’s Kerala, a dog got stuck in the bars of a gate while attempting to jump over a wall to access food inside a church auditorium.
The incident occurred in the Adoor Municipality of Kannamkode on June 26.
Visuals showed the dog struggling badly between the bars and people tried helping using wooden sticks to free the dog but nothing worked. The dog continues to whimper. Finally after the fire and rescue station officials arrived at the site, using a hydraulic cutter, they carefully cut through the gate bars to free the dog safely.
Speaking to Newslions, Mahesh, Senior Fire and Rescue Officer, said that a local resident, Suresh, noticed the distressed dog and alerted the Adoor Fire and Rescue Station around 9 am.The rescue team, led by Station Officer V. Vinod Kumar, along with Senior Fire and Rescue Officer Aji Khan, S. Santhosh, V. A. Prajosh, A. Anish Kumar, and Rajeev, promptly arrived at the scene. The team ensured the dog’s rescue without any harm, highlighting their quick response and effective use of rescue equipment.
