In a remarkable medical feat, doctors in southern India’s Andhra Pradesh, successfully removed 570 stones from the stomach of a 31-year-old woman.
The incident took place in the town of Amalapuram, located in the Ambedkar Konaseema district on May 19.
Visuals showed the hospital in which the surgery was conducted, the patient, and the doctor that performed the surgery along with the stones that were taken out from the body.
Jalem Narasveni, a resident of Devaguptam, had been experiencing severe stomach pain for an extended period.
The extraordinary surgery took place at ASA Hospital, where the medical team acted swiftly upon realizing the severity of her condition. Narasveni’s pain was attributed to an extensive case of gallstones, which required immediate and specialized surgical intervention.
The procedure underscores the capabilities and advancements in medical care available in smaller towns within India, providing a new lease on life for Narasveni. Her recovery is being closely monitored by the hospital staff following the surgery.
