A DJ at a bar in eastern India’s Jharkhand, was shot dead by unidentified assailants.

The incident occurred around 1 AM at Extreme Bar, located within the jurisdiction of Chutia police station in Ranchi on May 27.

Visuals showed how the culprit was fully dressed and covered with the weapon came face to face with the DJ and shot him and ran away down the stairs.

The victim, identified as DJ Sandeep, also known as Sandy, was shot multiple times by four assailants who then fled the scene. The shooting was captured on the bar’s CCTV cameras, providing crucial evidence for the ongoing investigation.

According to local authorities, including Ranchi City Deputy Superintendent of Police V Raman, the footage is being meticulously reviewed to identify the perpetrators. Preliminary reports suggest the motive behind the attack may have been a dispute that escalated earlier in the night. Patrons at the bar reported that a group of young men had an altercation with DJ Sandeep and other bar employees, leading to a minor clash that was initially resolved.

However, the same group returned later, targeting Sandeep as the bar was closing. The police are actively searching for the suspects based on the CCTV footage. Chutia Police Station Officer Umashankar confirmed that efforts are underway to apprehend those involved in the fatal shooting.
