Divine sight! Snake coils around Shivling, worshipped as Lord Shiva in central India
In a remarkable incident in central India’s Madhya Pradesh, a snake coiled itself around a Shivling, leading locals to worship it as an embodiment of Lord Shiva.
The incident took place in Pantnagar ward of Sagar district on September 13.
Visuals showed the snake wrapped around the Shivling beside a Ganesh idol, drawing crowds of devotees who began offering water, milk, and flowers in reverence to Lord Shiva. Many considered it a divine sight, praising the deity’s glory and eagerly worshipping the snake.
According to reports, Priest Bhupendra Patel shared that the snake remained coiled around the Shivling for about two hours, during which devotees continued offering milk and flowers without disturbing it. The snake eventually left on its own. Worshippers believe the presence of the snake was a divine blessing from Lord Shiva, bringing them fortune and fulfillment of wishes. A large number of people gathered to witness the rare event.
