Devotee falls into crowd after climbing precariously on temple railing in northern India
A devotee lost his balance and fell on a group of people after he had climbed up the railing inside the Banke Bihari temple in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh.
This incident happened in Mathura district of the state on April 8.
CCTV footage captured the chilling moment when the devotee lost his balance and fell on a group of people. There was a huge rush of devotees at the temple and the man, in an attempt to catch a better glimpse of the idol, had climbed up the railing which separated the main section from the VIP section.
He did climb on the railing but could not maintain his balance and eventually fell over to the other side, into the VIP section. There were a group of people who were present in the area at that time and he fell on top of them. However, no one seemingly suffered any major injury and later on, everyone was made to leave that space.
