Delivery boy attacked by pitbull dogs in central India
In a shocking incident in central India’s Chhattisgarh, a delivery boy named Salman Khan was viciously attacked by two pitbull dogs.
The incident took place in Anupam Nagar, located in the Khamardih police station area of Raipur district on July 12.
Visuals showed as Khan approached the door, the two pitbulls lunged at him, causing serious injuries to his hands and legs. In a desperate bid to save himself, he climbed onto the roof of a car parked outside the gate.
According to reports Khan, who had come to deliver a parcel to Dr. Sandhya Rao’s house, was severely injured in the attack.
Eyewitnesses claim that had the car not been there, Khan’s life could have been in grave danger.
Dr. Sandhya Rao, the owner of the dogs, is currently overseeing Khan’s treatment at a private hospital. The exact condition of Khan remains unclear at this time. Local residents, including Kali Mata Ward Councillor Amitesh Bhardwaj, have reported that these dogs have a history of aggression and have attacked others before.
The incident, captured on video by neighbors, has sparked outrage in the community. Despite witnessing the attack, none of the bystanders attempted to intervene. The residents have lodged complaints with both the Municipal Corporation Commissioner and the Khamardih police station, demanding strict action against the dog owner.
