Daylight robbery in western India: armed men steal jewellery worth lakhs
In a daring daylight heist, three armed men robbed a jewelry shop in western India’s Maharashtra making away with jewelry worth lakhs.
The incident took place at a jewelry shop in Laxmi Chowk, Hinjawadi area of Pune on August 2.
Visuals showed initially, one of the robbers entered the store and grabbed the collar of the man sitting at the counter, threatening him with a gun. Shortly thereafter, two more accomplices joined him. One of the men assisted in intimidating the shopkeeper while the other quickly collected the jewelry. The trio swiftly completed the heist and fled the scene.
The footage of the robbery has been widely circulated on social media, sparking public outrage and concern.
According to reports a jewelry shop in Laxmi Chowk became the target of a brazen robbery on Friday morning at around 10:30 AM. Three masked men entered the shop with the intent to rob and within seconds, they managed to loot jewelry worth lakhs at gunpoint.
Pune police are diligently investigating the incident and have launched a manhunt for the suspects. They are also appealing to the public for any information that could lead to the identification and arrest of the robbers.
