Daring robbery at a restaurant cracked within 48 hours in northern India
In a daring incident in northern India’s Punjab, police have successfully cracked a robbery case involving armed assailants who looted a restaurant.
The incident occurred on August 19 on Saran Road in the Jandiala Guru area of Amritsar city.
Visuals showed a man standing at the cash counter, counting money when four men suddenly entered the restaurant, pushed the owner away, and looted the establishment at gunpoint. Despite the owner’s resistance, the robbers managed to flee with the cash.
According to reports, Charanjit Singh, SSP, Amritsar (Rural), stated that the police identified the suspects and apprehended four of them within 48 hours of the crime. The arrested individuals were found in possession of two toy pistols and the looted amount. The suspects, identified as Ajaypal Singh, Paramjit Singh, Sharanjit Singh alias Sunny, and Manpreet Singh alias Rana, were all residents of the local area. A fifth accomplice, Gurshaan Singh, remains at large, and police are actively searching for him.
Notably, Ajaypal and Paramjit were employed as salesmen at the restaurant and had meticulously planned the robbery with their accomplices, conducting a recce of the area beforehand.
