Daring daylight heist: Robbers loot worth of jewelry in northern India
by ShravyaIn a brazen daylight robbery in northern India’s Uttarakhand, six masked individuals looted jewelry worth $595,555 (5 crore INR) from a jeweler’s shop.
The incident took place at Shri Balaji Jewellers in Haridwar district on September 1.
Visuals showed the robbers entering the shop, using chili spray on the staff, and then firing a gun before fleeing with gold, silver, and diamond jewelry. The entire staff was held hostage as the masked miscreants executed the heist with precision.
According to reports, SSP Pramendra Singh Dobal confirmed that the robbery occurred between 1.15 and 1.30 pm on Sunday. Five of the culprits were seen arriving on a scooter and a motorcycle. Authorities have vowed to take swift action in response to this audacious crime.
