Customs officials seize significant amount of gold in northern India, arrest passenger
Authorities apprehended an individual in northern India’s Delhi, arriving from abroad after discovering a substantial quantity of gold in their possession.
The incident took place at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in Delhi on April 14.
Visuals showed Customs officials found a concealed pouch filled with gold hidden within the upholstery of an airplane seat. The meticulously hidden pouch contained 1000 grams of gold, valued at Rs 62.7 lakh, carefully concealed from plain sight.
