Crows launch bizarre attacks on men in southern India, sparing women

In a bizarre incident reported from southern India’s Telangana, locals from the town claim that crows are specifically attacking men on a street, while women are being spared.

The incident took place at Rajanna-Sircilla district on August 11.

Visuals showed crows disturbing the locals on the street near the temple, with the residents seen shooing the birds away using cloths. The locals and passersby appeared distressed and frightened by the crows’ persistent attacks.

According to reports, the incident reportedly occurred near the Katta Maisamma temple. Locals believe that the crows perched atop the shrine are attacking men as they pass by. In a video circulating on social media, a crow is seen swooping down on a man walking by the temple.

Amused by the repeated incidents, locals have termed it as “Kaki Golara” (crow’s revenge). Eyewitnesses claim that the crows are exclusively targeting men, leaving women unharmed. The reason behind this unusual behavior, if true, remains unclear.

The incident has left both the locals and wildlife experts puzzled, prompting an investigation to determine the cause of the crows’ unusual behavior.
