Crocodile rescued after it fell into well in central India
A nine-foot-long crocodile was rescued after it fell into a 30-feet deep well in central India’s Madhya Pradesh.
This incident happened in Maharajpur, Sagar district on September 24.
Visuals showed the crocodile inside the well as it splashed water while being pulled out. A rope was tied to the reptile’s mouth and it was pulled out of the deep well outside to safety. Later, Officials were seen tying up his mouth while subduing the creature with a ladder.
Sagar DFO Mahendra Pratap Singh told Newslions that the forest department rushed to the spot after villagers informed them about the crocodile. As per villagers, it was there inside the well for three days and the forest department officials, after hard work for about six hours, were about to save the reptile’s life. Later, it was released into the Nauradehi Forest Sanctuary.
