Crocodile dramatically drags goat into river in northern India

In a dramatic event a crocodile hunted a goat on the riverbank in northern India’s Uttarakhand.

The incident occurred in Jim Corbett National Park in the Marchula area of Almora district and the video went viral on June 7.

Visuals showed the crocodile emerging from the Ramganga river and resting on the bank. At the same time, some goats arrived to graze nearby. When one of the goats ventured too close, the crocodile quickly snatched it and disappeared back into the river.

According to reports, Corbett Tiger Reserve’s Deputy Director Digant Nayak mentioned that such videos frequently emerge from Corbett Park, highlighting that this is part of the natural food chain. Crocodiles can hunt animals that weigh twice their own weight.
