Cow shelter worker severely beaten in northern India; police arrest suspects within 48 Hours
In a horrifying incident that has shaken northern India’s Rajasthan, a cow shelter worker was brutally beaten to death by suspected liquor mafia members in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan. Police have arrested the suspects within 48 hours of the incident.
The incident took place in Surajgarh area of Jhunjhunu district on May 14th.
Visuals showed a group of three to four people had a man tied up by his hands and feet with ropes. They were continuously beating him with sticks. The man’s condition appeared to be very severe, as he was being brutally assaulted without mercy, resembling the treatment of an animal.
Ramashwar Valmiki, a 27-year-old cow shelter worker, was allegedly kidnapped and beaten by liquor mafia members who suspected him of being involved with illegal alcohol producers. The suspects believed that Ramashwar was disrupting their business.
According to police reports, the incident took place on May 14th. Ramashwar left his house at 11 AM to attend a local event, only to be kidnapped by the suspects who arrived in a camper car. He was taken to a place where he was held captive and tortured for six hours. During this time, a minor accomplice recorded the brutal beating.
The video, now circulating on social media Rameshwar being tied up and beaten mercilessly with sticks. The severity of the assault left him unconscious, and he succumbed to his injuries. The suspects later discarded his body and fled the scene.
Police were swift in their response, arresting two of the six identified suspects within 48 hours. The arrested individuals reportedly attempted to take Ramashwar to a hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors. The suspects then disposed of his body before escaping.
