Cow rescued from water-filled well amid heavy rain in central India

In a heartwarming rescue operation, a cow was safely pulled out of a water-filled well in central India’s Madhya Pradesh despite torrential rains. The rescue effort was led by Gaurav Ralhi Mishra, founder of Atal Kamdhenu Gau Seva Sansthan, with the support of brave locals.

 

The incident took place in Udhia village in Shahdol district on September 25.

Visuals showed some members of the rescue team first descending into the water-filled well, carefully securing ropes around the cow. The team on top then began pulling with all their strength, working together to lift the cow out of the well. After a coordinated effort, the cow was brought safely to the surface. She appeared slightly unconscious when she was first rescued, but after a few moments, she regained her senses and was fine.

 

Gaurav Ralhi Mishra, Atal Kamdhenu Gau Seva Sansthan informed Newslions that a cow accidentally fell into a water-filled well during heavy rainfall. The incident, which took place between 8:56 PM and 9:59 PM, prompted immediate action from local volunteers and the Atal Kamdhenu Gau Seva Sansthan, an organization dedicated to cow protection.

 

Led by Gaurav Ralhi Mishra, founder of the Atal Kamdhenu Gau Seva Sansthan, the rescue team braved the downpour to save the stranded cow. Key contributors to the mission included dedicated volunteers like Sanskar Dwivedi (Gannu), Anurag Dwivedi, Saurabh Dwivedi, and the Srivastava family, along with the supportive residents of the village. Their combined efforts ensured the safe recovery of the cow from the well.

 

Despite the challenging weather conditions, the team’s determination and swift action prevented a potentially tragic outcome, highlighting the strong sense of community and devotion to animal welfare in the region.
