The incident took place in Belagavi district of Karnataka in southern India on October 30.

Visuals show the distressing moment when the accused barged into the hospital and tried to launch a brutal assault. Grabbing hold of the nurse, he attacked her with a machete, however, the quick thinking and courageous response from the nurse foiled his attempt.

According to reports, she received medical treatment for her injuries at the hospital. The individual, identified as Jadhav, was her neighbor and had been harassing the nurse for some time, continuously pressuring her to accept his marriage proposal, which she consistently declined. Distressed by these rejections, he subsequently approached her father with the same proposal, only to be rejected and warned to keep his distance from his daughter. This ordeal caused significant trauma and stress for her father, who ultimately succumbed to the emotional strain. The police mentioned that the suspect has been apprehended in connection with the case.
