Cop’s vigilance saves life of woman who slipped while boarding train in western India

A cop’s vigilance was on show as he helped save a woman’s life, after she had lost her balance while trying to get on a moving train in western India’s Maharashtra.

The incident reportedly happened at the Pune railway station on January 3.

CCTV footage captured the chilling moment when the woman lost her balance while trying to board the moving train. The woman had planned to go to Mumbai via the Pragati Express with her two daughters when this incident happened. She hurriedly tried ot put one of the daughters inside the train and then go in herself, when she lost her balance and ended up falling.

One of her legs got stuck in the middle of the platform and the train and in no time, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) official on duty, identified as Vinod Meena, managed to pull her out along with others.

However, the woman suffered injuries to her leg and was taken in a wheelchair to the station and given first aid. She was also reportedly treated by Dr Maya Rokade.
