Constable heroically rescues man from drowning in southern India

In southern India’s Andhra Pradesh, Traffic Constable V. Ravi Kumar has been hailed as a hero after he saved a man who attempted to jump into the canal from the old bridge.
The incident took place on Jagannadhapuram bridge in the coastal city of Kakinada on May 26.
Visuals showed when Kumar, who was on duty nearby, noticed the distressed individual preparing to leap into the water he rushed to his rescue and safely got him back away from the bridge.
Without hesitation, Constable Kumar rushed to the scene and managed to pull the man to safety. The swift and courageous action of the officer has garnered widespread praise from both police personnel and local residents, who gathered to congratulate him for his bravery.
