Fire officials come to rescue after a massive fire breaks out at a hotel in northern India’s Bihar.

The incident took place in the Pal hotel, at the Kotwali Police Station area, in Patna on April 26.

Visuals showed flames coming out of the hotel building. The thick grey smoke covered the entire area. There are firefighters on the scene, and the fire is being put out. In around thirty minutes, smoke and flames enveloped the entire structure. The building next to the hotel was also affected by the fire, and from both structures, only smoke and flames could be seen. There is also a fire risk in Patna Kirana, which is nearby.

A sudden blaze erupted in Pal Hotel, situated just 50 meters away from Patna Junction, during the early hours of Thursday. A casualty has been reported, with initial news suggesting the demise of two individuals. Amidst the flames, 35 individuals were evacuated, while 15 were promptly transported to the hospital. After two hours of strenuous efforts, the fire was successfully brought under control, with a total of 51 fire brigade vehicles deployed for assistance. Rescue operations were conducted within the hotel premises.

Following the incident, the road leading to Patna station has been temporarily closed. The four-story building was engulfed in flames, affecting all levels. Hydra equipment was utilized to aid in the rescue of trapped individuals.

Reports indicate that the fire may have been triggered by the explosion of cylinders stored within the hotel, leading to widespread devastation. Additionally, the adjacent building suffered damage as a result of the fire.
