Coldplay sets stage ablaze in India after eight years with electrifying show
Coldplay, a famous British band kicked off their highly anticipated ‘Music of the Spheres’ world tour in India with a power-packed performance.
The first concert of the tour happened at DY Patil sports stadium in Mumbai city in northern India’s Maharashtra, on January 18.
Visuals show the fans excitedly cheering for Coldplay. The stadium shines brightly at night with holographic lights and LED wristbands worn by the fans. The colourful confetti pops and fireworks are making the concert feel like a festival.
According to sources, almost 50,000 fans were present at the concert. The tour scheduled five shows across two Indian cities from January 18 to 26. The band played some of their classics including Fix You, Yellow, Paradise, and Viva La Vida. Indian singer Jasleen Kaur Royal opened the Coldplay concert with Hindi songs surprising the fans.
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin expressed his gratitude to the fans for warmly welcoming the band. The band shared many memorable moments with their fans including Chris thanking them in Hindi.
