Cobra rescued from university campus after causing panic among students

A 3-foot cobra was rescued from the university campus after causing panic among students and staff.

The incident took place in Dr. Harisingh Gour University in Sagar district in Madhya Pradesh, central India on December 6.

Visuals showed the snake catcher removing the snake from a pipe. The rescuer carefully handled the snake, ensuring it and everyone on campus remained unharmed.

According to reports, the incident took place in the Chemistry Department, where chaos broke out as students and staff spotted the snake. In the afternoon, while students and staff were chatting in the sun, an employee noticed the snake inside a pipe. As others gathered to confirm, the cobra’s head emerged from the pipe, causing everyone to flee in fear.

Snake catcher Akhil Baba arrived shortly afterward and expertly rescued the venomous cobra from the pipe in just two minutes. The snake was safely placed in a container. Akhil explained that the snake would be released into the forest, as it had likely entered the pipe to seek warmth from the cold.
