Cobra found in northern India jail’s lockup raises concerns

The incident took place in Madhuban Bapudham police station of Ghaziabad district on July 11.
Visuals showed the snake in a lockup where it remained resistant to any movements.
According to reports, a sweeper discovered the cobra while cleaning the lockup. Shocked, he began screaming upon spotting the cobra. This prompted officials to rush to the lockup. The Forest Department was informed and quickly dispatched personnel to the scene, who then rescued the cobra. Fortunately, no one was in the lockup at the time, preventing any potential mishaps.
