Clashes at polling station in northern India leave four injured, including woman
Four individuals, including a woman, sustained injuries as two groups clashed during polling in northern India’s Jammu and Kashmir.
The incident took place at Shahpur in Poonch district on May 25.
Visuals showed in the mountainous region, two groups engaged in physical altercation amidst an atmosphere of chaos. In subsequent footage, the same individuals were seen being carried on stretchers into the hospital after sustaining injuries.
Clashes erupted between two unidentified groups at the Shahpur polling station in Poonch district around 12:35 pm on Saturday.
The injured were rushed to the district hospital for treatment. Identified as Zahoor Din (40), Shazad Ahmad (20), Saleema Bi (18), and Mohammad Aslam (22), all residents of Shahpur. Police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
