Clash erupts at political rally in eastern India, as supporters engage in violence in eastern India
Violence erupted at a political rally as supporters of RJD and Congress clashed over a candidate nomination in eastern India’s Jharkhand, resulting in injuries and chaos.
The incident took place at Prabhat Tara Maidan in Ranchi on April 21.
Visuals showed during the political rally, supporters engaged in a heated confrontation, hurling chairs at each other while some resorted to physical violence with sticks. The scene was chaotic, with an atmosphere of confusion and disorder prevailing.
During this rally, supporters of RJD and Congress clashed with each other. The conflict arose over the candidacy of K.N. Tripathi for the Chatra Lok Sabha seat in Jharkhand. Initially, supporters of RJD and Congress clashed with each other. Gradually, it escalated into a violent clash where chairs were thrown and sticks were used to attack each other.
The brother of the Congress candidate was also injured in this incident. It is reported that 3 people were injured in this incident. There was also considerable anger seen against K.N. Tripathi in the RJD office..
In the uproarious mega rally, chairs were thrown and violence erupted between Congress and India Alliance workers. In reaction to this, the main opposition leader, Biranchi Narayan, said, “The trailer came before the movie. People have seen the character of this alliance, there are all kinds of jesters and jokers in this alliance. This alliance will not benefit the people of Jharkhand.” Meanwhile, violence continued among the workers, while the leaders of India Alliance continued to address the stage. This rally was addressed by CM Hemant Soren, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, former Deputy CM of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav, former CM of Jharkhand Hemant Soren’s wife Kalpana Soren, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal, Male General Secretary Deepankar Bhattacharya, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, among other leaders. Ministers Baby Devi, Congress candidate Sukhdev Bhagat, Farooq Abdullah, and Shibu Soren were also present at the program.
