Chilling moment 60-foot-long chariot collapses during festival in southern India
A massive chariot, 60-foot-long collapsed during a festival in southern India’s Tamil Nadu.
This incident happened during the Mayana Kollai festival celebrations in Vellore on March 9.
Visuals showed the massive chariot collapsed to the ground in a matter of seconds. The incident was accompanied by shrieks of fright and concern as it happened in the midst of people present in the area. Locals then were seen getting up on top of the chariot in order to rescue one person who got trapped. According to a report, the massive chariot was meant to carry the idol of Angalaparameswari Amman along the bank of Palaru river. It was learnt that the top of the big chariot collapsed and a 30-year-old named Vimal Venmani was trapped under it. The man was however rescued by the locals and was taken to the hospital.
