Cheetah wanders through urban streets, leaving residents in fear
A cheetah strolling through urban streets at night has caused a stir among the residents.
The cheetah strayed into Sheopur town on the night of December 24-25, Madhya Pradesh, central India.

Visuals show the cheetah walking freely along roads, followed by a jeep recording the moments.

According to the reports the cheetah, named Agni, hunted a stray dog on the outskirts of the town before passing through key locations such as Veer Savarkar Stadium and the collectorate office, heading towards a village near the national park’s buffer zone.

Authorities at Kuno National Park confirmed Agni is being closely monitored. A senior forest officer assured that monitoring teams are on round-the-clock vigilance, though the cheetah’s exact location was not disclosed for safety reasons. Agni and another cheetah, Vayu, were released into the wild on December 6 after nearly a year in enclosures, with plans for the release of the remaining 22 cheetahs in phases.
